Maine calls the document a Certificate of Existence and charges $30.00 for business corporations, LLCs, limited partnerships, and LLPs; nonprofits use $10.00. Interactive Corporate Services can issue an electronic certificate when available, while paper requests take longer. The certificate confirms Bureau status, not Maine tax compliance.

Maine charges $2.00 per page for plain copies and $5.00 per document for certification. The Bureau's miscellaneous-services page also lists expedited service at $50.00 within 24 hours or $100.00 immediately where available. The total for a certified copy is therefore the $5.00 certification charge plus the applicable copy pages and any expedite or delivery amount.
Maine apostilles and authentication

Confirm the legal name, entity number, and recipient’s required issue date. A missed report or other delinquency may need to be resolved before a certificate can be issued.
