Oregon requires a registered agent and Oregon registered office capable of receiving process. The agent may be an individual or authorized entity; agent and office are public, and a P.O. box alone is inadequate.
Oregon agent changes: forms and fees
Oregon Change of Registered Agent/Address uses the Business Registry form and current processing fee. Use https://sos.oregon.gov/business/Pages/update-registration.aspx; the replacement must qualify and consent.
Resignation, notice, and effective dates
Resignation follows Oregon's statutory notice and effective-date process and the current change form's fee. Resignation does not appoint a successor; the entity must promptly maintain a qualified Oregon agent.
Consequences of a missing agent or address
Without an Oregon agent or registered office, an entity can miss process, suffer default, lose good standing, and face dissolution or revocation. Substitute service does not replace the continuing appointment duty.
Confirm the change reached the public record
Keep the accepted filing and confirm the agent or service address shown for the business. Arrange forwarding of legal notices during the change, and check which contact information will be public before supplying a home address.
